Having first met Fintan through the MBA executive programme in Michael Smurfit School Morag wanted to design a developmental programme for her managers in Towercom. Within the design she wanted to build the team capability and to develop each individuals Leadership capability.

The final design of the programme was a 4 step process with a Team development plan and a Personal development plan developed and updated after each module.

The programme was facilitated in the IMI and internally at Towercom offices. For the off-sites we used the outdoors to enhance the learning process and the team completed a series of team tasks that enabled them to reflect and understand the behaviours that were enabling or disabling their team performance.

towercom2Day 1 focused on the Team developing their Mission, Vision and Values and aligning their objectives to their strategic plan. As part of the training we included an input on time management skills and assertiveness to delivery

Day 2 developed the theme of synergy/developing relationships for effectiveness and giving feedback as part of being an effective team

Day 3 looked at managing performance, setting expectation and the role of the appraisee and appraiser. It was aligned with the Towercom performance management process roll out

Day 4 specifically looked at Innovation and Creativity in the team. The workshop challenged Individuals and the team to develop a strategic innovative plan for each part of the business with the objective of implementing specific actions
